Rafael Munoz

Rafael Munoz is all about groove, intensity and connection — crafting uncompromising sets designed to move bodies and shift the energy in the room.

Based in Brussels, he's a regular at C12, Fuse and resident of Groove Theory. Rafael Munoz is a DJ, producer, and composer from Belgium, resident of the Groove Theory collective.

Whether behind the decks or in the studio, Rafael embraces experimentation as an essential part of his creative process. Constantly refining his sound, he seeks to push techno forward while remaining faithful to its core principles. Rather than revisiting the past, he aims to translate the essence of techno into something modern, bold, and future-facing.

Taking inspiration from years spent behind the decks and on the dancefloor, a deep connection with the community, and his background in acousmatic composition, studied at the Academy of Arts in Belgium, Rafael has developed a signature sound where deep and rolling low-ends, strong grooves, minimalist drums, intricate and refined sound design, evolving textures, and gritty synth lines come together to create a hypnotic, immersive, and deeply physical musical experience.

A regular at Brussels institutions such as Fuse and C12, he has also appeared at major venues and events including XRDS Festival, Tunnel Pereira, GRV.DVSN in Colombia, and Hall in Estonia, among others.
