Mode_1 is a Dublin-based techno producer and DJ known for delivering clean, powerful peak-time tracks and high-octane sets that blend hypnotic rhythms with relentless groove. A long-standing resident of Subject, one of Ireland’s most respected collectives, he has become a consistent presence in Ireland’s underground scene and increasingly further afield.

His production career has seen a steady rise, with key releases on labels like Knotweed Records, FiedelTwo, Naked Lunch, and his own imprint M1M Series. Notable highlights include his track “Oíche” on Berghain resident Fiedel’s Appendix compilation, and his contribution “Twenty7” to the collector’s edition vinyl marking the closure of District 8—alongside Irish techno heavyweights Tinfoil, Hybrasil, and Moduse.

Mode_1’s discography continues to evolve with a clear focus on groove, depth, and sonic precision. A standout moment in 2024 was his release on Dust in Groove, the label curated by French DJ Olivia Mendez. His track “Sigma” became a widely played highlight, earning support across clubs and mixes for its dynamic energy and refined production. This was followed by another strong release on FiedelTwo, marking his continued collaboration with the Berlin-based label. With remixes for artists like Vinicius Honorio and further releases on respected imprints such as Super Sound Tool, Prophecy Records, RLSD, and Out of Place, he continues to carve a distinct path within the European techno landscape. His release on the iconic Token Records marked a major milestone, further cementing his position among Europe’s most forward-thinking techno artists.

As a DJ, Mode_1 has played at key events and institutions that define the genre. In 2019, he was invited to perform at Photon in Dublin—an internationally regarded series curated by Ben Klock (Klockworks/Berghain), showcasing artists pushing the boundaries of techno. He also featured on the long-running Slam Radio series, curated by Scottish duo Slam, further solidifying his place among the genre’s respected selectors.

He has become a regular fixture in Berlin’s club circuit, with appearances at venues like M.01 and About Blank, while also expanding internationally with performances in New York and across France.
